課程概述

In spring semester, it covers basic topics in multi-variable calculus and linear systems of differential equations. In addition, it covers some material on calculus-based probability theory such as discrete and continuous probability distributions, and law of large numbers. Central limit theorem will be illustrated through normal approximation to binomial distribution. As an application of probability theory, the concept of confidence interval will be discussed. For multi-variable calculus, it includes partial derivatives, extremes, Lagrange multiplier, and double integrals.  

課程目標
1. To understand and be able to use calculus and probability to describe the dynamics of life. 2. To think in probabilistic terms in dealing with uncertainty in our daily lives. 3. To provide students with the fundamental ideas and tools of calculus that will put them in a good position for understanding more technical work in life sciences.  
課程要求
Must attend 演習課 on every Wednesday from 8:10~9:00.
